JOINED OXFORD COMMUNITY SCHOOLS
September 2018

My background is comprised mainly of teaching and helping positions in a variety of settings. I have worked as a Juvenile Specialist at Oakland County Children's Village, outdoor education "Adventure Ranger" with the DNR, Ski Coach, minister with various churches, camp counselor at Echo Grove Salvation Army Camp, and mental health therapist at various agencies.

I began working as a school counselor for Grand Blanc Academy in 2006 and helped create their first counseling programs at the K-8 level. I also worked with Middle Schools and High Schools in Waterford, Clarkston, and Lake Orion, on various educational projects, finally winding up at Oxford in 2018. I was lucky enough to serve OHS as the Dean of Students until OVA needed additional counselors at the beginning of the 2020/2021 school year. I couldn't be happier to be back to my roots as a school counselor serving students at the K-8 level.

I'm happily married for over 20 years with 5 kids split between Clarkston schools, Oxford schools, and college. We also have a reddish beagle-looking mutt named Pumpkin who spends her time chasing after deer and groundhogs. We play a lot of music and strategy board games at our house. Our family is involved in many different ministries at our church. We also like spending a lot of time outdoors, camping, hiking, skiing, having bonfires, and taking road trips to the Great Lakes.
