Career & Technical Education (CTE)
Oxford High School's Career and Technical Education (CTE) program offers students a diverse range of state-approved courses designed to provide practical skills and knowledge aligned with various career paths. These programs are taught by instructors with significant industry experience, ensuring that students receive education grounded in real-world applications.
The CTE programs at Oxford High School are designed to prepare students for both immediate employment and further education, equipping them with the skills necessary to succeed in their chosen career paths. CTE pathways include classroom instruction, work-based learning, hands-on learning, and student leadership opportunities.
Agreements between Oxford Community Schools and various two-year, four-year, and vocational institutions allow for articulation of credit for students to earn college credit in their high school CTE courses. An agreement is developed with an institution if the skills and competencies acquired by students are the same, thereby benefiting the students as they continue in a related program of study. Students are able to apply for college credit after completing approved career technical education programs.
