Oxford Schools Early College (OSEC) is a rigorous five-year high school program, combining the best of the high school and an early college experience led by both OVA Principal Janet Schell and Director Mark Suckley and Mentor Caryn Herrick. OSEC offers both online/virtual and face-to-face instruction housed inside Oxford High School to enable students to earn their high school diploma and college credits up to an Associates Degree. OSEC provides a supportive educational environment through the use of Mentor Teachers for students throughout Oakland County, as well as, all contiguous counties. Students have the opportunity to earn up to 60 transferable college credits from participating college partners before graduating as an OSEC high school student.
Oxford Schools Early College (OSEC) is a school combining the best elements of high school and college. OSEC students attend school at Oxford High School, Oxford Virtual Academy, and participating college campuses. Dual enrollment is a central component of every student's educational experience, with students participating in an integrated sequence of high school and college courses. OSEC students graduate with their high school diplomas, innovative educational and professional experiences from the small school environment, and around 60+ transferable college credits towards their undergraduate degree and/or an Associate Degree.
OSEC is a public early college high school. There is no cost to students or their families for attending Oxford Schools Early College. Tuition, fees, and textbook costs are paid for by the school.
OSEC students have full access to Oxford High School and Oxford Virtual Academy wide range of student support and student activities, including eligibility for National Honors Society, all school sports, clubs, activities, dances, & events.
